electronic systems, we produce diverse types of Capital Equipment,
which are used by our customers in their manufacturing processes;
as well as offer Original Equipment Manufacturing, building an assortment
of industrial electronic products for our customers.

We manufacture custom Capital Equipment, which are typically one-of-a-kind
projects. We also manufacture OEM Electronic Assemblies of well-designed,
built-to-print, contract manufacturing work.

At EFE Labs, we build capital equipment that our customers utilize
to maximize their manufacturing processes.
Electro-Mechanical
Box Build Assemblies
We have designed and manufactured many custom electro-mechanical
box build assemblies, for multiple applications including, power
conditioning, motion control, process control, and communications
interfaces.
Control
Panels
Quality workmanship facilitates high reliability in manufactured
panels and hence the supported systems.
PCB
Assembly
Because many of our sub-assemblies require PCBs, EFE Labs operates
a tailored PCB assembly operation designed for small production
runs and prototypes.
Cable
Harness Manufacturer
EFE Labs manufactures customized cable assemblies for a variety
of products. In particular, we design and develop cable assemblies
for the various products we build as well as wire runs from test
equipment to the product being tested.
Rack
and Stack Equipment Assemblies
Our rack and stack assemblies are ideal solutions for electrical
equipment housing needs. We offer a full complement of adjustable
shelves, sliding trays, and power strips.
Contract
Manufacturing Services
With over 40 years of providing manufacturing services, we have
developed management techniques that ensure successful completion
of our customer’s requirements in a timely manner.

Management
We establish with each customer a list of detailed functional requirements,
and analyze each task necessary to achieve these requirements.
Electronic
and Mechanical Design
The EFE engineering team has the ability to produce integrated packaged
design solutions. In our engineering and design area alone, we have
over seventy years of cumulative design experience.
Design
and Process Documentation
At EFE Labs, we believe that accurate documentation is key to acquiring
successful results. In particular, we often work with a variety
of different customer documentation that may require updating, reverse
engineering, or because the material is completely outdated—new
programming or engineering.

Single
Source Supply Chain Management
As your single source supplier, we follow the principles of supply
chain management; and while we assemble in-house, we often sub-contract
fabrication to a reliable network of vendors.
PLC
and Systems Programming
PLC configuration and programming has become part of the majority
of automation projects at EFE. Fully documented programs form a
part of the complete deliverable together with the equipment itself.
Equipment
Startup Support
We have found that by assigning one individual from EFE Labs along
with his counterpart from the customer, together they act as a communications
conduit for expediting the startup procedure. Equally important
is the development of training materials and installation procedures.
After
Market Services
An open file is maintained after the completion of all projects
to ensure the project performs as intended. This is especially important
for developing routine maintenance procedures and provisioning for
spare parts and service requirements.
Quality
Control Systems
Our quality control experts and shop floor associates have extensive
knowledge of these subjects and some are even certified training
instructors in various QC standards that pertain to electronics.
UL-508A
This requirement covers a variety of industrial control panel applications.
Basically, it covers control panels operating from a voltage of
600 volts or less.
IPC-A-610
IPC-A-610 is the electronic industry’s most widely recognized
standard used for acceptance criteria of high reliability circuit
board assemblies. The standard documents and illustrates workmanship
and inspection criteria for electronic assemblies.
IPC-A-610
This standard addresses acceptability criteria for crimped, mechanically
secured, and soldered interconnections. IPC-A-620 also tackles the
corresponding lacing and restraining criteria associated with cable
and harness assemblies.
J-Standard
The IPC/EIA J-Standard replaces the MIL-STD-2000 and other soldering
standards. It contains the material specifications, procedures,
and accepted criteria for soldered interconnections including wires
and terminals, through hole components, and surface-mount components.
ISO
9001:2000
ISO certification categorizes EFE Labs as a world-class manufacturer,
and it ensures that our quality will remain at the high level our
customers expect and deserve.
Inspection
and Functional Test
Per our ISO 9001:2000 system, material quality starts with the vendor
qualification process. Only audited qualified vendors are utilized
for procurement.
