Per our ISO 9001:2000 system, material quality starts with the vendor qualification process. Only audited qualified vendors are utilized for procurement. Inspection at EFE starts with receiving inspection of the materials. Commercial goods are verified against the purchase order and go dock to stock. Fabricated materials are passed to inspection for verification per the print. In the production cycle most assembly technicians have been trained and certified as inspectors. The certification is maintained in an access database. As the product is being built, they review and verify the construction per the workmanship standards of IPC, J-Standard, and the sample plan.
