Uses Pro/Engineer 3D
July 22, 2004/Horsham, PA — Kip Anthony,
Vice President of Marketing for EFE Laboratories, Inc.,
announced today that they have recently added Pro/ENGINEER’s
latest 3D drawing capabilities version. Mr. Anthony
stated, "Pro/ENGINEER offers groundbreaking capabilities
that will dramatically improve productivity for EFE.
3D drawings are the perfect blend of the 2D and 3D worlds,
allowing our customers and production personnel to consult
the product model and view all the data they need, annotated
directly on the model itself."

PTC’s Pro/ENGINEER offers 3D drawing capability
as part of its core Pro/ENGINEER solution. Prior to
the availability of 3D drawing capabilities, engineers
spent large amounts of time creating and/or interpreting
drawings for use when product designs were sent to manufacturing
to be produced. Companies using this new capability
reduce opportunities for misinterpretation and improve
their productivity by eliminating or decreasing reliance
on traditional 2D drawings. According to PTC, the new
3D drawing capability was developed in compliance with
industry standard ASME Y14.41-2003.
