PLC & Systems Programming

Through its years of system configuration and programming experience, EFE has developed a range of automation capabilities. In data acquisition and automation applications, we use a wide variety of control interfaces; this breadth of expertise enables us to take on our customers’ most complex problems. In particular, with the National Instruments LabVIEW software environment, we can test real-world signals and analyze data rapidly and at minimal cost. In other applications, we use a computer-based control engine (soft PLC). All of these approaches can be combined with other appropriate technologies to provide a sophisticated control and monitoring system. Most importantly, this level of support and innovation requires very little in the way of customer intervention.

Our process-oriented documentation approach respects project-specific needs, whether they entail the updating or reverse engineering of existing drawings, or ground-up new-product development. This ensures continued operational success: strong documentation supports a direct link to our well-developed functional specifications, facilitates setup, promotes clear communication, and enables effective process control. During the installation phase, this step also helps make a seamless transfer of intellectual property and manuals/educational materials, setting the stage for ongoing partnership through maintenance and service support.

Installation & Training Support

The physical transfer of new equipment involves more than shipment. EFE facilitates the entire uncrating, reassembly, and installation process. We confirm power connection, assist customers with initial startup and testing, and train in order to make a smooth transition to production.
