CNC Machinist
Focus is to own assembly activity in order to accomplish a specific task or build a specific product. Key “go to” person for Machine Shop needs, consistent building techniques and high-quality standards and ideally expanded knowledge of ISO processes and practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complete projects and other tasks as assigned with appropriate priority and high response time with direction as needed.
- Implement machining needs via CNC, collaborating with manufacturing engineering team.
- Independently successfully performs troubleshooting of products using various hand and power tools.
Hole punch, green lee punches, hole saw, drill press, metal sheers.
- Performs electro-mechanical validation and verification of products with in-process inspection; ability to identify exceptions, quality issues and inconsistencies.
- Responsible for support and ultimately completing assigned jobs by the scheduled due dates.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner at all times; maintain equipment and shop area.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Point person for small projects and specific project machining requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED, additional education is a plus and strong math skills is highly preferred.
- Advance understanding of machining, automated and manual, and layout of multi-component systems highly preferred
- Accurate and consistent ability to use measurement tools (calipers, scales, rulers) required
- Works well with others in a team environment to get projects accomplished required.
- Focus on efficient but high-quality work is required.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations of a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft applications a plus.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as quantities and time parameters.
- Machine shop background highly desirable.
- Master cam and CNC programming a plus.
